Hog Roast Chard Catered For A Retro Music Festival!

Hog Roast ChardSomerset’s temperatures reached the low thirties last weekend – and not for the first time this summer! Over the last couple of months, we have been treated to plenty of sunshine, which has given locals the chance to make use of the great outdoors while the weather is on our side.

Naturally, this has meant that our Hog Roast Chard team has been incredibly busy as of late, with countless garden parties, birthday celebrations, wedding receptions and community events to cater for. If you know us well enough, though, then you’ll know that we wouldn’t change it for the world because if there’s one thing we love more than a well-cooked hog roast, it’s sharing it with the masses!

On that note, we were elated to receive an invite to an open-air retro music festival, which had been organised by Fred and Mischa. The event had garnered a lot of interest from music lovers in and around Somerset, who were keen to relax and enjoy the throwback-style show, which promised outstanding performances from the 60s, 70s and 80s tribute bands and artists.

Our Hog Roast Chard team had been hired to make sure that the 500 guests were kept energised throughout the concert by serving our incredible Classic Hog Roast Menu, which is a firm favourite among our clients for a reason! The melt-in-the-mouth slow-roasted pork served on gluten-free or wholemeal rolls with crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing and tangy applesauce is simple yet tantalisingly tasty, making it the perfect treat for lively events like this one.

The meat-loving guests thoroughly enjoyed stuffing their faces with these generously-stuffed rolls, whilst the vegetarian and vegan attendees were amazed by our flavourful BBQ pulled jackfruit baps with vegan coleslaw. While the guests devoured the delicious food, the musicians on stage performed well-known tracks from Bruce Springsteen, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, Adam Ant and many more!

Event organisers, Fred and Mischa, couldn’t have been more satisfied with how the afternoon went, and they were both so grateful to have had the Hog Roast Chard team on hand to keep the guests spirits up in between performances.
