We are very happy with the whole service The spitting pig Co provided. From the initial booking, to follow up call from Alistar to talk us through the menu.
Alistar arrived and set himself up a few hours later we were told the food was ready.
Wow the presentation on the tables were great & the presentation of the food itself was even better. The food itself was absolutely amazing.
Alistar was great throughout and once we had finished cleared up everything, plated our leftovers up and tidied up everything.
We couldn't of asked for better service! We will certainly be using you again.

All our requirements were catered for, staff friendly and approachable.
One conversation to explain what we required and then everything was put into place - everything ran smoothly on the day, enabling me to be free to deal with other tasks. The food was served hot, was delicious and there was plenty for everyone plus seconds.

We booked Spitting Pig for a 30th birthday party at a local community centre, we had quotes from other companies but after the initial phone call, I knew the others wouldn't match the Spitting Pig in service.
The process from start to finish was excellent, the customer service was great. The communication from Alastair was great, he was very thorough and informative.
The staff who then came to the event (Kate and Gary), were amazing. They were very clean, tidy and served us with great food.
I would 100% recommend them to anyone and will keep this company in mind if we needed them again for another party/occasion.

I couldn’t recommend these amazing people highly enough! Super friendly, really helpful and very genuine caterers who went above and beyond to help and support our party. Even offered to set up a spare table for some additional food we had provided.
The hog roast was DELICIOUS! As were the halloumi skewers (slow cooked halloumi is the new way!) the leftovers were packaged up for us and were just as delicious the next day at the after party! Really professional company, ensured all cleaned and tidied at the end of the day. Great communication. All round lovely blokes!

Hi,
Alistair and his team were amazing!!! From prior to the wedding to the moment they packed up and left. They had to face some mad challenges on our wedding day with weather warnings and being positioned on top of a hill!!!
The food was just simply insane!!! Everyone has commented how delicious it all was especially the fish and chip canapé!!! It all flowed so perfectly from canapés into hog roast into our delicious grazing boards!! There was so much food as well!!! No one went hungry there was something for everyone and we even took loads home to enjoy the next day!!!
I can’t thank you enough for all you have done!! You completely got my vision for the day and you made it all so much easier as I didn’t have to worry about anything regarding catering!!!

Big big thank you for catering at our wedding this weekend. I was so impressed with the food and got lots of brilliant feedback from guests. Although we only went for the ‘basic’ package it was more than enough and plenty to choose from still. The hog itself was so delicious and strangely I especially enjoyed the tomatoes 😂 really happy with the process from start to finish, all communication had been top notch. Everything was fantastic.
We can’t thank you enough. The food was delicious, the staff were super friendly and everything went smoothly.
My guests said the chips were some of the best they’d ever eaten and the kids couldn’t get enough of them. We really enjoyed eating the leftovers the following day too as there was plenty of food and I know that a few people went back for seconds and thirds.
I would definitely recommend you guys again and I wouldn’t hesitate in booking you for future events. Keep doing what you're doing, as you’re doing a great job..
My dog loved it too. I know she spent a lot of time around the food area waiting for scraps !! The chef even gave her the pigs ears which she was very grateful for.

Alistair and his team of amazing staff did a fantastic job for us on Saturday night, the whole reception worked incredibly smoothly, the food was delicious, the canapés all disappeared really quickly, the crackling crackled, Jack fruit alternative went down really well, stuffing was yummy, and the deserts perfect.
We were so impressed by them just turning up and cooking everything on site, all done without a fuss or needing anything from us.
We would highly recommend Spitting Pig, but particularly Alistair for coordinating it all so well, and so unflustered.

I would like you to extend our thanks to the two gentleman who came to our home and garden on Saturday. They were amazing and presented us with splendid service and great food.
The weather wasn't great but it did not deter our enjoyment. They got on with the job of cooking and serving and I had nothing to worry about so was able to enjoy our event.

The set up was great – feeding almost 200 guests, everyone said how lovely the pulled pork was. We had lots of children at our wedding, and so it was perfect for all ages.

Thank you so much. You saved our event taking on the booking with 2 days notice. The service and care were second to none as communications before and at the were excellent, you came to set up and take down without any hassle, even had the food ready early for some guests who couldn't stay. The food itself was amazing. Even the gluten free and vegetarians were kept happy.
I had planned a weeks worth of leftover hog roast meals but there was nothing left as guest kept coming back for more. Even the gluten free and vegetarians were kept happy. Given the reason for the event, I needed a caterer that could take the stress out of feeding everyone and you certainly did that.
Will definitely be recommending you and having you back at our next event. Thanks again.

Yes the party was fab and we partied on until 3.00am.
The pig was a huge success and everyone loved it from the crackling to the stuffing and apple sauce.
Alistair made everything run smoothly and took away the pressure of feeding everyone so we could enjoy the party.
From start up to packing up he carried on without any interruptions to us.
We Cannot fault the service he provided (he thought of everything) and will definitely hire you again and recommend to family and friends.

I hired Spitting Pig Somerset for a large party at a village hall. Alistair was excellent. He was friendly and professional on the phone and he suggested some small tweaks to the menu which was perfect. He reassured me that everything would run smoothly regarding the food on the day and this meant one less thing to worry about. On the day the staff arrived as expected and produced a wonderfully tasty selection of slow roasts. Everyone said how delicious the food was and most guests went back for more (some as many as three times). Unfortunately I was full after eating one plate full, but there was still plenty leftover that I was able to enjoy the next day. The staff were cheerful, friendly and professional. I couldn’t fault them. I will highly recommend and I’m sure all the guests will. Many thanks for making the party such a success.

We had just played cricket and Alistair had the Hog Roast set up right next to the pitch so when we walked off we could begin eating straight away. Alistair and the team were faultless from booking arrangements to clearing away after the event. We felt that they just got on with the job of providing an excellent service while we could enjoy the day, with a perfect balance of attentiveness and discreetness.

We recently had Alistair of Spitting Pig Somerset here with us to cater an event and I would really like to give positive feedback as he was such a big part of making our event successful. Right from the beginning communication was very clear with no hidden costs and very fairly priced. The choice of menu was fantastic making a very easy choice of vendor over 3 other quotes and the amount of comments we have had from berth holders complimenting the food has been immense. There’s been so many people that have taken the time to call, email or pop into the office to compliment the food. I also really appreciated Alistair’s attention to detail and knowledge on dietary requirements that in particular was one thing I had not thought of and there really was something there for everyone to enjoy. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Alistair and crew on the day (especially Charley) and we can’t wait to have them back for another event soon!

Thank you for fantastic service and food, sincerely the Spitting Pig hog roast was the highlight of our fathers memorial. Your team were friendly yet professional, extremely mindful of food hygiene issues, not just in respect of COVID. The vegetarians were pleased with the halloumi & roast vegetable skewers and there was ample food for everyone.
We had lunch boxes earlier in the day from another catering firm and while they were well received they cost significantly more than the Spitting Pig hog roast. The whole family reflected that Spitting Pig represents great value for money particularly when you consider how many guests your hog roast is able to cater for in exactly the kind of informal environment our dad would have wanted.

I was looking to hire a mobile catering company for a Hog Roast and was recommended this company. I was a little hesitant at first as i wanted my big day to be perfect. They did not disappoint.
The pork was so juicy and tender, all the extras tasted great too. If you want something a little bit different from a traditional buffet then give these guys a shout. The will not let you down.

I would like to thank all your staff who got involved in organising the catering for our event, we have had nothing but positive feedback regarding the quality and selection of food provided. Your staff on the day were friendly, professional, helpful and all round a pleasure to deal with. From a cost perspective we were happy that the cost was reasonable considering the quality and quantity of what was provided.
Personally I found Spitting Pig to be very easy to deal with and administratively streamlined, really made my life easier! You provide a good level of contact and confirmation, and made sure that I was aware of what was expected of me, well ahead of time.
All round a very positive experience, thank you. We will most likely be contacting you in Jan of next year for our 2018 summer event
