Very many thanks to Alistair for such excellent and delicious service on Sunday. He arrived promptly and very quickly set up his impressive equipment to prepare and roast the wonderful pig! When we subsequently sat down to eat, everyone agreed that the hog roast, stuffing, crackling and salad were truly exceptional. And Alistair was the most friendly and charming chef throughout the day.
All in all, I don’t think it could have been any better and I can recommend your company unreservedly!!

Alistair and his team of amazing staff did a fantastic job for us on Saturday night, the whole reception worked incredibly smoothly, the food was delicious, the canapés all disappeared really quickly, the crackling crackled, Jack fruit alternative went down really well, stuffing was yummy, and the deserts perfect.
We were so impressed by them just turning up and cooking everything on site, all done without a fuss or needing anything from us.
We would highly recommend Spitting Pig, but particularly Alistair for coordinating it all so well, and so unflustered.

The hog roast and salads were beautiful and both of them were very professional. So many of our friends commented on how good the food was.

I would like you to extend our thanks to the two gentleman who came to our home and garden on Saturday. They were amazing and presented us with splendid service and great food.
The weather wasn't great but it did not deter our enjoyment. They got on with the job of cooking and serving and I had nothing to worry about so was able to enjoy our event.

The service and care were second to none as communications before and at the were excellent, you came to set up and take down without any hassle, even had the food ready early for some guests who couldn't stay. The food itself was amazing. Even the gluten free and vegetarians were kept happy.
I had planned a weeks worth of leftover hog roast meals but there was nothing left as guest kept coming back for more. Even the gluten free and vegetarians were kept happy. Given the reason for the event, I needed a caterer that could take the stress out of feeding everyone and you certainly did that.

I hired Spitting Pig Somerset for a large party at a village hall. Alistair was excellent. He was friendly and professional on the phone and he suggested some small tweaks to the menu which was perfect. He reassured me that everything would run smoothly regarding the food on the day and this meant one less thing to worry about. On the day the staff arrived as expected and produced a wonderfully tasty selection of slow roasts. Everyone said how delicious the food was and most guests went back for more (some as many as three times). Unfortunately I was full after eating one plate full, but there was still plenty leftover that I was able to enjoy the next day. The staff were cheerful, friendly and professional. I couldn’t fault them. I will highly recommend and I’m sure all the guests will. Many thanks for making the party such a success.

From beginning to end we had quick responses to our queries, a direct contact for arrangements, the set up was on time and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We appreciated the pig being hidden from view, every detail has been thought of.
Every person stopped us to compliment us on the food, the quality and taste was amazing.

The food was amazing! Genuinely really good, I even had multiple people comment on how good it was and the fact they went back for seconds and thirds! Which just shows how good the portion sizes were.

The food was exceptional and exactly what we were looking for during our event. We had just played cricket and Alistair had the Hog Roast set up right next to the pitch so when we walked off we could begin eating straight away. Alistair was very hospitable and everyone enjoyed chatting to him whilst the food was being prepared and served. I would highly recommend Spitting Pig for any event.

Just want to say how much we enjoyed Spitting Pig Co. visiting St Andrew’s Parish Church today. Alistair and his team were so friendly and accommodating to our needs, it was a pleasure to work with them. The food was most delicious and everyone at the event thoroughly enjoyed themselves and asked them to come in for a big thank you and clapping. From the moment I spoke to Alistair on the telephone I had every confidence that he knew his business from dealing expertly with the food and how to present, to dealing with people. Alistair and the team were faultless from booking arrangements to clearing away after the event. We felt that they just got on with the job of providing an excellent service while we could enjoy the day, with a perfect balance of attentiveness and discreetness.
The food was fantastic with all of the guests commenting on its quality.
To be honest, couldn’t find a single thing we could moan about or change (other than needing bigger stomachs next time).

The team was amazing, top class service. Taking care of everything from the efficient serving of the bubbles and canapés, to serving 80 hungry people in the Marquee at our wedding. With lockdown being so long and difficult, we were looking for any excuse to celebrate once the restrictions lifted. We decided to go all out over the Easter Weekend, hiring a gazebo and speakers for our family garden party and you guys catered it perfectly.

After realising that our Christmas party wasn’t going to happen this year due to COVID, someone suggested that we have a hog roast instead and boy am I glad they did. You always deliver such excellent service and the team are a delight to have on our project. Being Christmas we decided to go for the festive menu and it was yummy. Turkey roast with all the trimmings and a warm mince pie to top off.

We recently had Alistair of Spitting Pig Somerset here with us to cater an event and I would really like to give positive feedback as he was such a big part of making our event successful. Right from the beginning communication was very clear with no hidden costs and very fairly priced. The choice of menu was fantastic making a very easy choice of vendor over 3 other quotes and the amount of comments we have had from berth holders complimenting the food has been immense. There’s been so many people that have taken the time to call, email or pop into the office to compliment the food. I also really appreciated Alistair’s attention to detail and knowledge on dietary requirements that in particular was one thing I had not thought of and there really was something there for everyone to enjoy. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Alistair and crew on the day (especially Charley) and we can’t wait to have them back for another event soon!

Thank you for fantastic service and food, sincerely the Spitting Pig hog roast was the highlight of our fathers memorial. Your team were friendly yet professional, extremely mindful of food hygiene issues, not just in respect of COVID. The vegetarians were pleased with the halloumi & roast vegetable skewers and there was ample food for everyone.
We had lunch boxes earlier in the day from another catering firm and while they were well received they cost significantly more than the Spitting Pig hog roast. The whole family reflected that Spitting Pig represents great value for money particularly when you consider how many guests your hog roast is able to cater for in exactly the kind of informal environment our dad would have wanted.

I was looking to hire a mobile catering company for a Hog Roast and was recommended this company. I was a little hesitant at first as i wanted my big day to be perfect. They did not disappoint.
The pork was so juicy and tender, all the extras tasted great too. If you want something a little bit different from a traditional buffet then give these guys a shout. The will not let you down.

I would like to thank all your staff who got involved in organising the catering for our event, we have had nothing but positive feedback regarding the quality and selection of food provided. Your staff on the day were friendly, professional, helpful and all round a pleasure to deal with. From a cost perspective we were happy that the cost was reasonable considering the quality and quantity of what was provided.
Personally I found Spitting Pig to be very easy to deal with and administratively streamlined, really made my life easier! You provide a good level of contact and confirmation, and made sure that I was aware of what was expected of me, well ahead of time.
All round a very positive experience, thank you. We will most likely be contacting you in Jan of next year for our 2018 summer event
