No Wedding Is Too Big – Or Too Small – For Hog Roast Stopford!

Hog Roast Stopford
Planning a wedding can be full of little hurdles. Especially if you’re choosing a path that strays from tradition! Take the guest list, for example. In the UK, most weddings host between 60 and 150 guests, which is why many venues and vendors have built their services around that range.

At Hog Roast Stopford, we know that weddings come in all shapes and sizes. That’s why we pride ourselves on offering flexible, top-quality catering no matter how big – or small – your celebration is. Whether you’re eloping with just a couple of witnesses, inviting everyone you’ve ever met, or somewhere in between, we’ll take the stress of catering off your plate (pun absolutely intended) and leave you with nothing but happy memories and full bellies.

We recently catered a micro wedding of 23 guests here in Stopford, and though the gathering might have been small, the celebrations were anything but. The happy couple had chosen the secluded (and equally luxurious!) Newton Surmaville estate. Established in 1608, and occupied by the same family for centuries, this elegant manor is rich in history and natural beauty.

Hog Roast StopfordOnce our team had scraped their jaws off the floor, they set to work preparing the wedding feast. The couple had requested our namesake hog roast for their big day, which consists of a whole-roasted free-range hog served with crackling, sage and onion stuffing and applesauce on the side. Guests had the option of piling this fan-favourite combo onto gluten-free or wholemeal rolls for a flavourful sandwich or piling it onto their plates and enjoying it with sides of tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad, gourmet coleslaw and sweet potato fries. For those looking to add even more flavour to their plates, Hog Roast Stopford had laid out a selection of seasonings and sauces for everyone to help themselves.

If you know us well enough, you’ll know the feast didn’t end there. With veggies and vegans attending this celebration, Hog Roast Stopford rustled up pulled jackfruit sliders and grilled veggie kebabs, so that everyone had something tasty to enjoy.

This couple proved you don’t need hundreds of guests to have an epic wedding. All you need is love, a breathtaking setting, great company and even better food!
