The Hog Roast Yeovil team, led by Catering Manager Alistair, recently had the pleasure of catering for Holly and Pete at the stunning North Cadbury Court in Yeovil. As part of a fun-filled pre-wedding weekend, 90 guests gathered on Friday night for an unforgettable dinner — a relaxed, laughter-filled evening that set the tone for a beautiful weekend of celebrations.
The menu was centred around a whole roasted pig, cooked to perfection with golden crackling, rich and tender pork, and all the classic trimmings. Guests enjoyed homemade sage and onion stuffing and sweet apple sauce, all served with bread rolls and wraps, including gluten-free options so everyone could tuck in comfortably.
The buffet table was filled with colourful accompaniments — a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad, and creamy coleslaw, all adding lightness and vibrancy to the hearty main. Guests also enjoyed a serving of herb-dressed new potatoes, perfectly seasoned and warm.
Vegetarian and vegan guests were well taken care of with our grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, served with wraps, tzatziki dip, and sweet chilli sauce — or without the halloumi for a fully vegan alternative.
Everything was served buffet style on eco-friendly wooden crockery with disposable cutlery, keeping things simple, stylish, and sustainable. The evening flowed with easy conversation, plenty of seconds, and that unmistakable smell of slow-roasted pork drifting through the air.
It was a truly joyful event to be part of — good food, great company, and an incredible setting at North Cadbury Court. The Hog Roast Yeovil team were thrilled to play a small part in such a happy weekend.
