Spitting Pig fed our 120 guests at our evening reception. Everyone shared how amazing the food was and the friendliness of the staff. “The hog roast, this was the most delicious we’ve had ever before and we’ve had many!” “They catered for every dietary requirement, from the type of roll to jackfruit for veggies/vegans!” I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for good, hearty grub! They manage the logistics themselves in terms of equipment they have and setting up. Great initiative and professionalism. Left the site spotless too. Alistair was the calmest, most easy going person to organise this all for us – definitely what you need when you have many many wedding vendors asking you countless questions that you didn’t think you needed the answer for! Thank you so much!

From the very first conversation to the wedding day itself, Alastair and the team were absolutely fantastic. They delivered exactly what they promised and made everything so easy. The food was incredible, and so many of our guests commented on how amazing it was. We wanted relaxed, easy dining with an incredible BBQ, and they exceeded every expectation. The quality of the food, the service, and the professionalism of the whole team were outstanding. If you’re looking for delicious food and a team you can completely trust to make your day special, I couldn’t recommend Spitting Pig enough. We had the most wonderful catering provided by Alistair and his team. The food was absolutely amazing and so delicious, we received so many compliments from our guests and a lot of people went up for seconds! It was all presented wonderfully, everything was clearly labelled and those with allergies/dietary requirements felt at ease and were handled brilliantly. Alistair called us a few weeks before the event and was so friendly and chatty. No question was a silly one and he spoke in detail about how it would all be handled and gave us a lot of information about how it would all run. The set up was handled smoothly and they didn’t get in the way at all even though our drinks reception was in the same garden/patio they were setting up in. The overall service was exceptional, and I have no doubt I will recommend Spitting Pig to anyone looking for catering for their event.

Alistair & The Spitting Pig were brilliant! We booked a very last minute Hog Roast for a corporate event, and were incredibly impressed by not only the food, but also Alistair’s passion! Will definitely be returning!

We hired the spitting pig for our small family wedding and everything from start to finish was very straightforward, clear and personable. Service was amazing as was the food, our guests loved it! We would highly recommend!

Alistair is a gem. I said ‘We have rowers…’ He said ‘I am a feeder, I have never yet been defeated.’ After the wedding he said ‘Impressive! They can eat!’ But….he remains undefeated, the food was as delicious as it was plentiful. The rowers said ‘That was amazing! We often come away from an event so hungry! But that hog roast!’ Get this team for your event and have amazing food.

Spitting Pig were fantastic at our staff party! Not only were their staff friendly, bubbly and so helpful, they were so organised and efficient! The food was honestly incredible, and still talked about to this day! They went above and beyond what i expected by clearing our tables at the venue (I was asking the venue to sort but they had already jumped on it!) Our catering manager was Alistair and not only did he remember me as the point of contact, he ensured that everything was exactly how I had requested, all our numerous allergens dealt with efficiently and was a joy to work with. I was very impressed with them and would certainly recommend to anyone! Very well priced for not only the amount of food they prepared (we had enough for seconds AND thirds!) but also the quality and taste! Thank you!

I’d been lucky enough to try their food before, so I already knew it would be delicious. They were the first people I called for a quote for my 50th, and with their excellent customer service and my confidence in the quality, it was an easy decision not to look anywhere else. In the run-up, they couldn’t have been more helpful—calling a few days beforehand to check everything was on track and picking up my calls straight away the day before. On the day itself, the setup and clearance were seamless, the service was brilliantly organised, and it honestly couldn’t have gone better. I had so many compliments from guests about the food, and there was even enough to load up friends with extras to take home. We’ve been happily finishing off the fabulous potatoes, and I’ll be turning the leftover tomatoes into soup—none of it deserved to go to waste! I’d highly recommend them. It was such a relief to feel completely confident that the food was in safe hands and didn’t need any of my time or energy, leaving me free to focus on other parts of the celebration.

Brilliant from start to finish, from initial phone call to the event itself. Can’t fault a thing. If you are thinking of having a Hog Roast, in my opinion, you couldn’t better The Spitting Pig.
