Getting staff fired up in summer is one of those management challenges that nobody really talks about but everyone quietly struggles with. The sun is out, the days are long and drafting reports or hitting targets feels like an increasingly hard sell when the weather is doing its very best impression of somewhere far more exciting than the office.
A BBQ, though? That gets people motivated.
There’s something about the combination of good weather, good food and time away from the desk that resets the whole dynamic. Staff feel valued, teams actually talk to each other and everyone goes back to work the following week with a bit more in the tank. Small businesses and large corporations alike have figured this out – and Radiodetection Ltd is firmly in that camp.
When the sun started properly showing up this summer, Radiodetection didn’t hang about. The team works hard all year round across a demanding industry, and when it came to giving them a proper send-off into the second half of the year, they called Hog Roast Bristol and asked us to make it count.
The Gourmet BBQ Menu was the order of the day for 100 guests, and it delivered in every direction. Three meat options came off the grill smoky, juicy and timed to perfection – the kind of result
that only comes from equipment that actually does what it’s supposed to do and a team that knows how to use it. Melting cheese and fried onions were on hand to take things up a notch, and two solid meat-free alternatives meant nobody was left scanning the table with that slightly hopeful expression. Fresh, colourful salads and a potato dish that drew more than a few return visits rounded the whole spread out.
At Hog Roast Bristol, half measures aren’t really in our vocabulary, and the Radiodetection team felt that from the first plate to the last. From the presentation to the punctuality and the flavours, everything landed exactly as it should – and the client couldn’t have been happier with the results.
