Towards the end of April, Hog Roast Wroughton catered for a wonder 50th wedding anniversary for Pauline and her husband. Pauline contacted our catering manager Alistair to arrange the menu for the occasion, after seeing our Alfresco Menu posted online. She thought that this would be the ideal menu for the event since it included a variety of delicious dishes and three separate courses for the guests to enjoy. The anniversary meal had a guest list of 35 people, so we agreed that this would be an ideal menu for the occasion.
On the day of the anniversary event, the Hog Roast Wroughton team arrived in the morning to prepare for the 14:00 mealtime. Our Alfresco Menu begins with a delicious sharing platter dessert, with guests enjoying a selection of gourmet meats and cheeses, alongside salads and fresh bread. This course is served tableside and is a great introduction to an afternoon of delicious catering.
For the main course, our team served a classic Hog Roast Wroughton main course, consisting of a slow-roasted hog and all of the trimmings. The dishes included sliced pork, buttered new potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and homemade gravy. This was a delicious main course and had plenty for the guests to enjoy.
To finish the menu, the guests enjoyed tarte au citron and profiteroles. The dishes were served beautifully on wooden crockery, creating a final course that looked and tasted great!
