This November, Hog Roast Wincanton was contacted by Alison to arrange catering for her menu. Our catering manager Alistair discussed the catering options that we can provide, including a range of different dishes and formalities. Alison decided that our Southern Slow Roast Menu was the ideal choice, accompanied by a tasty vegetarian option.
On the day of the event, our catering team arrived early at the Arthur Morison Memorial Hall to provide catering for 80 guests. We began by slow-roasting the main dishes, including a BBQ pork butt, a delicious beef brisket, and Cajun whole-roasted chickens. This was a tasty variety of main dishes, especially when served with our homemade marinades and sauces. For the meat-free guests, we also prepared grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, which was a delicious vegetarian alternative. As well as the main dishes, we also served a selection of sides, including green leaf salad, crunchy coleslaw, sweet potato fries, and homemade chips. This creates a varied and nutritious menu, packed full of flavours and tastes!
This menu was served on wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery, creating the ideal level of formality for the occasion. It was great to be part of Alison and Sam’s wedding and to provide such a great menu for their special day. Every guest enjoyed what we had to offer and this menu was the perfect addition to the reception.
