Nothing gets us more in the festive spirit than Christmas markets which is why the whole team at Hog Roast Congresbury were thrilled to be given the opportunity to cater at Congresbury’s markets this year!
Having impressed at the lights switch on we knew we had to pull out all the stops once again for the markets. Congresbury’s markets have everything from boutique stalls to hand made arts and crafts and it’s the perfect place to find a unique gift for any friends or family. More and more often people see the markets as a day out in themselves as after shopping there is nothing better than some festive food and a hot mulled wine to end the day. Hog Roast Congresbury were to cater from one of the stalls and we had to make sure we served up a treat for all the hungry shoppers.
On the menu we had almost our full Hog Roast Congresbury range. There were of course our spit roasted turkeys that we serve with homemade cranberry sauce and all the trimmings! For those not quite ready to embrace the turkey yet we had a traditional slow roasted hog with layers of crispy cracking and fresh applesauce that we served in floured bread rolls baked that morning. We also ensured there were plenty of options for any vegetarians, vegans or those with dietary requirements as we don’t like anyone to miss out on out Hog Roast Congresbury. So, our chef created the most delicious vegetable tart along with some haloumi and roasted vegetable skewers and we even had a festive nut roast too for good measure!
With the full Hog Roast Congresbury feast ready all we needed was some customers and as soon as the markets opened, we didn’t stop serving until close! Just the way we like it and the perfect way to get in the festive spirit!
