Hog Roast Bridgwater Caters A Stylish 70th Birthday Bash!

Hog Roast SomersetNobody wants to spend their own birthday party trapped in the kitchen. Yet for plenty of hosts, that’s exactly what happens. A simple get-together snowballs into a huge gathering, and before you know it you’re piecing together a menu for about fifteen different dietary requirements.

And we’ve got to ask, where’s the fun in that?

If you’re celebrating a milestone, you should actually get to be part of it. And with Hog Roast Bridgwater in your corner, you can be. Hiring us to take care of your birthday banquet completely removes any catering-related stress so you can focus on having fun with your guests. Now doesn’t that sound so much more tempting than being stuck in a roasting hot kitchen?

After all, feeding a big crowd single-handedly is seriously tough to get right – and not only because of those dietary needs we mentioned earlier. There are people’s likes and dislikes to consider, the sensory side of the meal and the not-so-small matter of getting everything served while it’s still hot. Hog Roast Bridgwater takes care of all of that, which is why for their 70th birthday, our latest client asked us to step in and create something impressive for their 110 guests.

Turning 70 is a big deal – that’s something I’m sure we can all agree on – so they wanted a menu that stood out and felt worthy of the occasion. Our hog roast was the obvious pick, with its show-stopping looks, rich flavour and plenty of meat for second helpings. (And third helpings, too, if we’re honest.)

Hog Roast SomersetGuests could tuck into it as a sandwich with sage and onion stuffing and applesauce on gluten-free or wholemeal buns. Or they could pile it onto a plate alongside tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad, coleslaw and classic and sweet potato fries, with salt, vinegar and sauces for anyone who fancied them. And the non-meat-eaters? We had them eating out the palm of our hands with grilled vegetable kebabs stacked with optional halloumi, bell peppers, mushrooms and courgettes, then drizzled with sweet chilli sauce and dunked in tzatziki.

Yes, the birthday star got all of that without lifting a finger. No oven timers, no panicking about the gravy, no hiding in the pantry for a quiet minute. Just cake, company and a very full plate for delicious food.

So if you’d like an easier, happier birthday of your own, you know where to find us – Hog Roast Bridgwater is ready to start planning your menu when you are.
