There are not many more dining events that we cater for that are more special than a wedding day, but this past month we at Hog Roast Bristol did have the privilege of catering one particular event that may well run it very close.
A wedding day is always a special occasion, but even more unique than a wedding day is a golden jubilee. Celebrating 50 years of anything is extraordinary; celebrating 50 years of love and marriage is a true marvel. It is something that we could all aspire to be able to enjoy some day; at Hog Roast Bristol we are only all the more privileged to be able to share in one with some very special guests.
A golden wedding jubilee could only call for one kind of dish and dining experience: a golden hog roast. Almost as bright shining and impressive as 50 years of celebrated marriage, our hog roast is just the thing to mark such an occasion. Made in the authentic spit style it is steeped in just as much tradition as 50 years of marriage. It’s got style, novelty, spectacle, just as shared with any fortunate enough to celebrate a golden jubilee.
It was a no brainier for Hog Roast Bristol’s catering manager, Alistair, to recommend our signature hog roast for such an occasion. It is one of the only dishes that could surely measure up to such an important and unique moment in the lives of two very special guests – along with all of their friends and family that have also had the privilege of sharing in five decades of their to-be celebrated love. Our hog roast comes served with our own golden, bubbling crackling – a perfect texture accompaniment to the tenderness of our pork – along with sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce, creamy coleslaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, a mix
of regular and sweet potato fries, and our delicious vegan pulled jackfruit as a perfect alternative to our namesake roast.
With all of that delicious food on offer, our banquet was second in impressiveness only to the two guests of honour of the day. The Hog Roast Bristol team had a wonderful time at the event and can only hope that we ourselves get to celebrate our very own golden jubilee as a company some day too.
