A new month and another calendar packed full of events for Hog Roast Frome to cater! First on our list was the wedding of Pete and Rachel who had booked us at the last minute after being let down by another caterer.
Leading up to today’s event, Rachel and Pete were understandably stressed. The caterer they had originally booked for their big day had pulled out last minute due to being double booked and not realising it. After frantically ringing around and asking friends and family for recommendations it was Pete’s father, Alan, who recommended us at Hog Roast Frome. We had catered at Alans birthday a few years back and he had always remembered how professional our catering staff were and how delicious the food was. With such a glowing recommendation Rachel didn’t hesitate in calling us and luckily, we were able to fit in their event and started planning a menu straight away.
Rachel told us she had always envisioned a very formal, traditional wedding and so had doubts whether a hog roast would be able to fit that brief. We reassured her that although our style of catering is often done in a more relaxed and casual style, we were also able to scale up our meals and can offer canapes, drinks receptions and full three-course meals plus desert just like any other caterer, if not better! Our head chef planned an extravagant menu consisting of slow spit-roasted meat, welcome canapes, and lots of accompaniments to keep all of Pete and Rachel’s guests happy.
On the big day itself, Hog Roast Frome were first to arrive at the venue as we always leave plenty of time to get set up and to ensure that we serve our food on time after all the bride and groom have enough to worry about!
The wedding itself was beautiful and our food went down a treat. Rachel and Pete couldn’t thank us enough for pulling everything off in such a short amount of time, but we told them it’s what we do best! Congratulations again to the happy couple!
