The Hog Roast South Petherton team, led by Catering Manager Alistair, had the pleasure of serving up a spectacular Southern Slow Roast wedding menu for 100 guests at the beautiful White Barn, Frogmary Green Farm. With the rustic charm of the Somerset countryside as the backdrop, this celebration was all about great food, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Our team got straight to work, preparing a feast that perfectly matched the relaxed yet refined atmosphere of the day. The couple had chosen a trio of slow-roasted favourites — Texan 24-Hour Beef Brisket, Cajun Spiced Whole Roast Chickens, and Pulled Quarter of Minted Lamb — each cooked low and slow to achieve tender perfection. The aroma of smoky spices and roasting meats filled the air, drawing guests over in anticipation long before serving time.
To complement the main dishes, we offered a tempting selection of bread rolls and wraps, including wholemeal and gluten-free options, giving everyone the freedom to build their ideal plate. Each dish was served with a trio of bold and flavour-packed sauces — our Smokey Sweet BBQ Glaze, Cajun Hot Pepper Sauce (not for the faint-hearted!), and our Legendary Hickory Bourbon BBQ Sauce, a house favourite that always goes down a treat.
