This September, Hog Roast Bristol catered for a 2-day event at the Warburtons building in Severn Beach, Bristol. The event was hosted as a way to celebrate that the company has raised over £3 million for cancer research, which is an incredible accomplishment and definitely deserves a celebration! Warburtons has been raising money for this charity since 2015, with endless fundraisers and challenges through the years in order to reach this staggering amount. For the celebration, Hog Roast Bristol was hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, serving our menu to 200 guests across the 2 days.
When the day of the event arrived, our catering manager Alistair arrived at the venue in the morning to prepare for the 11:30am serving time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection before it was expertly carved. The sliced pork was served alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, creating a delicious and varied buffet lunch. For meat-free guests, we also served halloumi and vegetable skewers, which is a delicious veggie alternative. The mains were served alongside a selection of seasonal salad dishes to create a varied meal with more than enough to go around. It was great to be part of such a memorable event and the Hog Roast Bristol team had lots of fun meeting so many great fundraisers!
