If you’re planning a wedding in Somerset and you haven’t heard of Hog Roast Yeovil yet, consider this your introduction – and your lucky day.
We’re not just one of the most well-regarded catering teams in the region (though we’ll take that). We’ve also built genuine partnerships with some of Somerset’s most spectacular venues, which means when you book with us and one of these locations, you’re not just getting great food – you’re getting a team that already knows the venue, already has the relationships, and can make the whole day run that bit more smoothly because of it.
One of our absolute favourite partner venues is North Cadbury Court – and honestly, it doesn’t take long to understand why couples fall for it. Tucked into the Somerset countryside, this Grade I listed estate is the kind of place that makes people go quiet when they first see it. It can host 82 overnight guests, the grounds are stunning, and then – just when you think you’ve got the measure of it – you discover the rooftop golf. The secret basement disco. The casino. The pedalos on the lake. It’s a fairytale venue with a seriously playful streak, and we love it.
Hog Roast Yeovil was recently back at North Cadbury Court for Florence and Zack’s pre-wedding celebration – a gathering of 110 guests on the eve of their big day. Our catering manager Alistair led the team, and from early in the day the focus was firmly on the hog roast. Cooking low and slow for several hours, the pork developed exactly the kind of deep, natural flavour that makes this
style of cooking so special. Served with applesauce and sage and onion stuffing, alongside bread rolls, wraps, herb-dressed new potatoes, coleslaw, mixed salad and a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad – there was something wonderful on every part of the table.
Guests skipping the meat were equally well looked after, with grilled veggie skewers and BBQ pulled jackfruit buns that were genuinely just as popular as everything else.
Florence and Zack’s wedding weekend got off to the most wonderful start – and Hog Roast Yeovil couldn’t be happier to have played a small part in it.
