When Jessica from HGL commercial Construction contacted Hog Roast Portishead about our catering services, we were more than happy to see what we could do! Our catering manager Alistair began by finding out the needs of the event, discovering that it was a corporate meal for 20 guests. After discussing our menus, Jessica decided that the Classic Hog Roast menu was an ideal choice and we got the event booked in!
On the day of the corporate event, we began by slow roasting our hog for approximately 5 hours, to ensure that it was juicy and tender. The meat was served with fresh bread rolls and wraps, including gluten-free options. We accommodated for vegan guests by preparing vegetable skewers and adding halloumi for any vegetarians. Alongside the mains, we also provided mixed salad, crunchy coleslaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, and tasty mac and cheese. This created a delicious and varied menu for the guests to choose between, allowing them to create their perfect meal.
The menu was served on wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery, which created the ideal level of formality for the event. We served the dishes buffet style, with the pig carved by a Hog Roast Portishead expert chef. The catering was enjoyed by every guest and was a perfect addition to the corporate event.
Once our catering had been enjoyed, we wrapped up any leftovers and began to clear down our catering station, leaving the guests to enjoy the rest of the event.
