After a beautiful July wedding ceremony, Ellie and her partner planned an evening reception at The Court Yard in Salisbury. She reached out to our catering manager Alistair to find out which wedding catering menu would be ideal for them and their 200 guests. After discussing catering needs, Alistair suggested a Hog Roast Salisbury speciality: our Classis Hog Roast menu, with a gluten-free and vegetarian alternative.
On the day of the reception, our team got to work to ensure that the menu would be ready for the 20:30 meal time. We began by slow-roasting the hog, ensuring that it was cooked to perfection and packed full of natural juices and flavours. The hog was served with fresh bread rolls and wraps, including a gluten-free alternative. Alongside the meat dish, we also prepared grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers for any vegetarian guests. The mains were served with mixed salad, coleslaw, traditional chips, and sweet potato fries to create a delicious and balanced meal.
We served the dishes buffet-style on wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery, creating an informal catering atmosphere. The dishes were enjoyed by the couple, as well as their 200 guests, resulting in a successful evening meal! Once the catering had been enjoyed, we wrapped up any leftovers and disposed of our rubbish discretely, as well as packing down our catering station.
