This may include wins against other teams, or improvements in skill and confidence. Recently, our catering manager Alistair was hired by Emily to provide catering for a Hockey club awards dinner. The dinner took place at a sports and social club in Somerset and 150 were set to attend. The catering needed to be versatile and include something for everyone to enjoy, which is especially important for large events. After looking through Hog Roast Salisbury’s menus, Emily decided that our classic hog roast would be ideal for the occasion, along with some tasty salad dishes and a meat-free option.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Salisbury team arrived with plenty of time to prepare the menu for the 19:30 mealtime. We began by roasting the hog, which needed approximately four hours to cook to perfection. While this roasted, we prepared the BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a great meat-free alternative. Both main dishes were served in fresh bread rolls, or a gluten-free alternative, along with sage and onion stuffing and homemade applesauce. As well as the mains, we also served a delicious pasta salad, seasonal mixed salad leaves, crunchy coleslaw, and roasted baby new potatoes.
The menu was served formally on China crockery and cutlery, creating the ideal level of formality for the occasion. The team all had great fun at the ceremony and our catering was a great addition to the day!
