Tom is part of the team organising the ‘Relish running race’, taking place at Eastnor Castle. The event always draws in a large crowd, with over 500 people expected to attend this October. To reward the runners for their hard work, Hog Roast Lyneham has been hired to serve a delicious classic hog roast at the end, with runners being able to add a beer and a hog roast to their registration for just £5! Everyone that finishes the race will be taking home a custom medal and a delicious buffet, alongside our incredible catering!
On the day of the event, our catering manager Alistair arrived at the venue in the morning and began preparing the catering for the 10:30am starting time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, before it was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we provided BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a tasty veggie alternative to pulled pork. The rolls were served with a selection of salad dishes and homemade chips to create a hearty and balanced meal with plenty to go around!
Our catering was a great addition to the event and was an incredible way to boost morale and to keep spirits high. It was a lot of fun to cater to such a large number of guests and we got to meet so many new people!
