Hog Roast Burston Kicked Off October With A Pumpkin Picking Event

Just because the summer has come to an end doesn’t mean you have to stop enjoying outdoor events. If you ask us, some of the most enjoyable open-air experiences take place in the autumn and winter months; and recently, to celebrate the beginning of October, our Hog Roast Burston team was lucky enough to have been invited along to serve one of our delectable menus at a wholesome, family-friendly, pumpkin-picking event nearby.

Hog Roast Burston The owners of the pumpkin patch, Michelle and her husband, Jack, had reached out to us a few weeks prior to the event going ahead to ask about our menu options, and, after exploring our expansive selection of dining solutions in more detail with the help of our catering manager, Alistair, the pair eventually settled on our Classic Hog Roast Menu. Offering a simple, yet authentic hog roasting experience, this feast has remained a hugely popular option for both intimate and large-scale events since we opened our doors to the public nearly three decades ago; and on the day of their event, Michelle and Jack weren’t disappointed with the results!

Alistair and the Hog Roast Burston team had dedicated all morning to preparing the menu, which offered guests a taste of our trademark pulled pork rolls, served with sage and onion stuffing, lightly salted pork scratchings, punchy applesauce and a refreshing salad side with gourmet coleslaw to finish. They also whipped up some BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls with vegan coleslaw to make sure that any vegans and vegetarians who attended didn’t feel left out.

We’re ecstatic to announce that food was an instant hit among all those who attended Jack and Michelle’s annual pumpkin picking event. And, after lining up to collect a plateful of Hog Roast Burston’s mouth-watering creation, which was served using our eco-friendly plates, the guests wandered between the patches, munching away happily on their piping hot rolls!

It was a wonderful afternoon for everyone involved, and our clients Michelle and Jack were so impressed with the hog roast that they have since reached out to discuss purchasing one of our machines for themselves!
