Quite a busy weekend doing a hog roast in Horningsham especially busy considering it is October. We have been kept going this month aided by the super weather. Everyone is also in such a good mood it’s amazing what a bit of October sunshine can do to a hog roast in Horningsham. It really lifted the event.
The children where outside playing in a strange combination of shorts and willies and having a fantastic time. We set up the hog roast at the bottom of the garden looking out over the fields towards the safari park I am sure I could hear an elephant. We had slow roasted the pig over14 hours and we were serving it as pulled pork in a ciabatta roll with homemade coleslaw and salads. It is a really nice way to enjoy a hog roast. Well everyone seemed to really enjoy it and what little there was we left behind for pork sandwiches next week.
